DOT require that most truck/van/bus drivers and commerical motor vehicle drivers have a physical exam every two years in order to renew their license. School bus drivers in some counties, however, must have their license renewed yearly.

During the physical exam the physician checks your height, weight, blood pressure, vision, hearing and a physical examination is performed. If glasses are worn, bring them to your exam. A urine specimen is also requested.

Some employers request that you have a urine drug screen and breath alcohol testing at the time of your physical exam.
