Novant Medical Group Forsyth Region physicians are employees of the health system. There is no partnership opportunity. All of our physicians receive a base salary with an opportunity to earn an incentive payment. We offer a flexible benefits program where employees are provided with benefits dollars which may be used to purchase a variety of benefits such as medical, dental, life, short and long term disability and accidental death and dismemberment coverage. In addition, you may set up a healthcare and/or dependent daycare account. Many of these benefits are paid with pre-tax payroll deductions.

The Retirement Plus Plan allows you to make pre-tax and after-tax contributions to a 403 (b) account. After one year of service, Novant Health matches $1.00 for every $1.00 the employee contributes, up to 3% of pay. In addition, with our defined contribution retirement benefit, Novant Health makes a contribution to the employee's account based on current base salary and years of service.

Novant Medical Group Forsyth Region offers continuing medical education expense reimbursement for expenses such as attendance at seminars, books and journal subscriptions, professional associates dues and specialty board examination fees. Time off varies depending on physician's work schedule and the number of years the physician has been out of residency.

Physicians must be board-certified (or, if just completing residency, board-eligible.)

Neurology

Location: Forsyth Comprehensive Neurology
This group has 5 physicians and 5 mid-level providers providing general neurology care, stroke services and neurocritical care services at Forsyth Medical Center. We are seeking additional neurologists for inpatient care with a 7-on/7-off work schedule. Sub-specialty interest in Stroke/Vascular Neurology are preferred. Neurosurgery

Location: Forsyth Brain and Spine Surgery
New practice opportunity for a neurosurgeon to practice in Winston-Salem at Forsyth Medical Center (FMC). Services include caring for patients with tumors, cranial and spine conditions and neurovascular diseases. FMC is the first Joint Commission Certified Stroke Center in NC and a Gold Performance award winner for Stroke Performance Measures from the American Heart and Stroke Association.

Urology

Location: Urology Partners
This group has 5 physicians and 1 physician assistant and is looking for an additional urologist with laparoscopic and/or robotics expertise. Call will be 1:4. Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligible.

General Surgeon

Location: Salem Surgical Associates
This well-established group surgical practice specializes in general, vascular and colorectal surgery and is seeking an additional general surgeon to join their very busy practice. Salem Surgical Associates is located in Winston-Salem, NC and is a 10-provider practice. Comprehensive services provided by the practice include surgical services for the abdominal organs (i.e. gallbladder, stomach, appendix and colon), the breast, thyroid gland and other endocrine organs, rectum and anus, arteries and veins, and cancer. The practice also manages surgical intensive care cases, office and outpatient surgery, and major and minor trauma. The successful applicant will be board-certified, or in process, in General Surgery.

Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Location: Pre-Operative Clinic in Winston-Salem
This new clinic site will be based at Forsyth Medical Center, a 961-bed tertiary care facility. We are looking for an experienced physician to provide pre-operative medical evaluations. This position is part of the 36-physician hospitalist service, Novant Inpatient Care Specialists-Forsyth. Hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. There are no call, night or weekend responsibilities.

Family Medicine

Location: Pilot Mountain
Pilot Mountain, located north of Winston-Salem, is well-known for outdoor activities and a high quality of life. High demand in the area, particularly a growing demand for pediatric services, provides an opportunity for a new provider to be busy quickly. The office is managed as a satellite location of Medical Associates of Surry, another well-established Novant Medical Group practice located in Mt. Airy, NC. Inpatient services are provided by the hospitalist group (Novant Inpatient Care Specialists-Forsyth) at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. The office is open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. After hours calls are managed by a nurse triage service. Office call will be 1:6 and involves phone calls only.

General Surgeon

Location: Louisburg, NC
New practice opportunity for an experienced general surgeon to join our network in North Carolina. Located about 30 minutes east of Raleigh, this solo opportunity (with shared call) in Louisburg offers the joys of small-town living with easy access to the cultural aspects and amenities of the state capital and the thriving Research Triangle region of central North Carolina. The comprehensive services provided by the practice include surgical services for abdominal organs (i.e. gallbladder, stomach, appendix and colon), the breast, thyroid gland and other endocrine organs, rectum and anus, arteries and veins, and cancer. General Surgeon - Hospitalist

Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Novant Medical Group is seeking general surgeons to join a new surgical hospitalist practice. This new service will provide inpatient surgery coverage on a 7-day on/7-day off schedule from 7am-7pm. The work schedule will include participation in the Emergency Department call coverage (currently 1:8) as well as 24/7 coverage for post-operative surgicalist patients only. The successful applicant will be board-certified, or in process, in General Surgery.
